When a site does not show up on Google, the cause is usually one of a few common problems. Work through this list before you assume something mysterious is going on.
1. Your pages are not indexed
Search for site:yourdomain.com in Google. If few or no pages appear, search engines may not have found or accepted them. Check Search Console for indexing messages.
2. Something is blocking search engines
A leftover "noindex" tag or a robots.txt rule from development can keep your whole site out of results. It happens more often than you would think.
3. Your site is new
New sites need time to be discovered and trusted. Keep publishing useful content and earn a few genuine links while you wait.
4. The page does not match the search
If people want a how-to guide and you are showing a sales page, you will struggle. Look at what already ranks and compare the page type.
5. The content is thin or copied
Short, generic pages that repeat what others say give search engines little reason to choose you. Add real detail, examples and original value.
6. Your site is slow or hard to use on mobile
Most searches happen on phones. If pages load slowly or the layout breaks, both visitors and rankings suffer.
7. Competitors have more authority
If everyone ahead of you has far more quality links, better content alone may not close the gap. A steady, relevant link-building effort helps.
Not sure which applies? An SEO audit checks all seven and more, then tells you what to fix first.
